Wow, I have just discovered THE most amazing thing for beauty addicts like me.  It's called the 'beauty box'.  For a subscription fee of £9.95 per month (you can cancel at any time) you get a box sent in the post every month containing 5 good sized samples of the latest beauty releases!  Mine is from though I've heard they area available elsewhere.  Drool......  I've ordered mine straight away and can't wait to hear the thud of that box on my doormat :D  I'll be posting reviews of the contents when they arrive.  To be continued...

Decleor Aroma Solutions Nourishing Lip Balm

Just a quick post this evening!  It's that time of year again when the cold weather and central heating leave your lips less than perfect.  My favourite lip treat at the moment is Decleor's Aroma Solutions Nourishing Lip Balm.  I picked it up after spotting it on my summer holiday spa visit.  It comes in a little tube, neatly boxed in Decleor's trademark bright yellow packaging.  (I think you can also buy it in a lipstick format?)

You only need a tiny bit of this luxurious balm and as soon as you massage it almost turns into an oil without being greasy.  The scent is hard to describe - very grown up and not your usual strawberry scented chapstick!  Its ingredients include; macadamia, hazlenut and cinnamon oil and the balm is 100% natural.

What I love most about this balm is the way it lasts on your lips (and hence the tube lasts a very long time which is good as it is rather pricey at around £10)  Your winter lips are left soft, smooth with a gentle sheen - perfect!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Review

Well I thought I'd start my first review with a hero everday essential product of mine - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish.  Before my partner bought me a jumbo 200ml tube of this wonderful stuff I was a 99p cream cleanser kind of girl.  However, I hated the way it would leave a film on my face so I never got that really clean feeling.  Not to mention all the fuss of cotton wool and the fact that it really never did my skin any favours -  I constantly had dry flakiness around my nose and my skin itched when in air conditioning.  Cleanse and Polish on the other hand.....

You squeeze an inch long line out of the tube and the cream is almost balm-like in texture.  You massage this all over your face (including you eyes) and take in the gorgeous smell.  It contains eucalyptus and other yummy essential oils which make me feel like I'm having a spa treatment everyday!

Next, the 'polish' part of the process.  You take the muslin cloth (included), soak in hand hot water then wring out and polish the cream off your face.  For someone with occassionally sensitive skin this is a lovely way to exfoliate daily without being too rough.

The results?  My skin is left soft and moisturised and glowing.  You almost feel as if you can skip the moisturiser! (but please don't!)  The best bit is after 6 months of using this product it still seems to be delivering the same results unlike some other products which after the initial 'ooooh' factor seem to lose their impact.

At around £12 for 100ml this can seem quite expensive.  However, you can always find multibuy deals on the Liz Earle website or QVC.  For me, Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish its worth every penny when I see the difference from how my skin used to feel!

Well here is my first post... This blog is going to be a space for me to combine my love of writing with my addiction to beauty products.  There will also be contributions from my partner who is the ultimate metrosexual and has a beauty collection to rival my own!

I hope to help people like myself who are too busy (or pennies are too tight!) to try every product going before finding the one that does what it claims.  Here you'll find reviews which are my honest opinions - both good and bad.

Enjoy the reviews and feel free to comment!
