Bare Minerals Super Size TSV Review

Last weekends QVC TSV was a must for all Bare Minerals fans!  Bare Minerals is the only foundation I have been consistently happy with and one teeny tub (8g) usually lasts me at least 6 months making the £24 price tag seem much more economical.

Imagine my amazement when they put together this beauty!  A double sized foundation (16g), a double sized Prime Time Foundation Primer (60ml) and a 5 times sized (yes 5!!!) of their new Advanced Clear Radiance (4.5g)  The price of this Flawless and Luminous Collection was just under £40.  The value?  A whopping £181!!!  (taken from the Bare Minerals website and based on the cost of the original Clear Radiance)

The foundation and primer I use everyday without fail so it is great to have collection for once that doesn't include items I wouldn't usually buy separately. Bare Minerals Advanced Clear Radiance is a new product to me but I know I will use it regularly. At the moment I use Tinted Mineral Veil as a finishing powder over my foundation. Advanced Clear Radiance is also a finishing product which gives a dewy sheen to the skin whilst also feeding it with vitamins.

Did any of you other Bare Minerals fans manage to get their hands on this fantastic value kit?  Do you stock up on super sizes of your favourite products when you get the chance?

L'Occitane Immortelle Cream Mask Review

Immortelle Cream Mask

I recently chose a sample of Immortelle Cream Mask as a freebie with a L'Occitane order.  I'd heard great things about the Immortelle Divine Cream so thought a sachet of this mask would be a nice treat.

Unfortunately, I have never had much luck with face masks, now including this one.  After smoothing a thick layer over my skin I was instructed to leave it on for 5 - 10 minutes.  However, after around 3 minutes my skin started to sting.  This really surprised me as this is supposed to be a moisturising mask not a brightening or cleansing one.  After a previous bad experience, this signalled me to remove the mask pretty sharpish!

After cleaning my skin of the mask I hardly noticed any difference in my skin - if anything, it felt tighter than usual rather than moisturised!  Looking at the reviews on the L'Occitane website I appear to be the only person having experienced this reaction.

I wouldn't consider myself to have particularly sensitive skin but face masks really do seem to irritate me.  This really disappoints me as I love a good pamper!

Do you know of any good face masks that are suitable for sensitive skins?

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Review

You may remember me posting about the May Liz Earle Skin Essentials offer here.  I hadn't tried Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser before and in fact have only just got round to using it.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream has been my hero product for the past 6 months - it was a Christmas present and lasted me very well.  However, my purse would struggle to keep on purchasing this at £75 for 50ml!!!

I was already a dedicated fan of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and Skin Boost Tonic so it seemed sensible to complete the regime with the moisturiser.  However, I was a bit wary as I had heard it was very rich in texure especially compared to the gel-like light formula of Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.

I opted for the Normal/Combination option of the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser and on opening I admittedly was a bit worried about the richness of the cream.  As you can see, this moisturiser is VERY thick and slightly yellow in colour.  When applying the cream it feels very moisturising but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it sunk in and any greasy residue was quickly gone.

The scent of Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser is also lovely too - an aromatherapy fragrance common with Liz Earle products but very subtle at the same time.  I hate walking around and all I can smell is my moisturiser!

Best of all this moisturiser works out very affordable - £18.75 for 50ml and I reckon it will last a long time.

Have you tried Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser?  Are you a fan or do you find it too rich?

My Nails Inc. Collection

So inspired by fellow blogger Been There, Done That, Got the Lipstick I have decided to start a series of posts on my nail varnish collection!  A girl can never have too many nail colours right?  So here are my nail colours by Nails Inc.

L-R: Birdcage Walk, InStyle Beach, The Serpentine, Little Venice, InStyle (orange), InStyle Candy, Festival Pier, Clarges Street, Saville Row, DeVere Gardens, InStyle (teal), The Southbank, InStyle (taupe), Duchess Street

As you can see several of these were freebies from magazines and the rest were bought in collections working out at about £4 - £5 each - bargain!

Nails Inc. has to be my favourite nail polish brand.  I love its strong pigmentation meaning less coats.  The names are cute too with locations from around London.

What is your favourite Nails Inc. shade?

June Empties

I know I'm a bit late with this post but as I've been off work this week I haven't had a chance to update!  There is also another very exciting reason why I haven't been blogging much recently... I will be revealing after this weekend :)

Radox Shower Therapy Nourish Shea Butter and Ginger  A great supermarket shower gel.  Inexpensive and does the job.  I love the smell which is warm and vanillary - I can't smell the ginger though!
Would I buy again?  Yes.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish  My all time favourite, can't be without it cleanser.  There is always an empty of this in my bathroom every few months!
Would I buy again?  Have done and always will - I currently have 3 back ups at home!

L'Occitane Five Minute Shine Repair Mask Sample Very odd smell, a bit like plasticine... did a good job of restoring my hair though, leaving it light and shiny.
Would I buy again?  No.  Although it improved the condition of my hair I like it to smell good too!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream  Probably the best moisturiser I have ever used.  Light and gel like but moisturising enough for dry skins also.  I got this as part of an amazing QVC TSV for Christmas reviewed here and its lasted a whole 6 months!
Would I buy again?  This is very pricey but can be good value if bought as a deal.  I am currently trying Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser and I have to say it's fighting for my favourite position!

Clarisonic Skin Polish This came in a Feel Unique box when they were still around.  Smells gorgeous, lathers nicely and leaves skin nice and smooth.
Would I buy again?  Probably not as I don't own a Clarisonic.  However, it did a decent job on its own.

Liz Earle Skin Boost Tonic  I love that this is an alchohol free toner - the only kind I want to use.  Leaves a moisturising veil and helps moisturiser sink in.  Amazing smell!
Would I buy again?  Have done and always will - the sister product to my Cleanse and Polish
