Babymoon in Paris!

So tomorrow my partner, bump and I are off for a short break in Paris - probably our last holiday without baby :D  Carrying a baby is enough luggage for anyone so the aim is to travel light - one small pullalong suitcase that my partner will be carrying and a handbag/manbag each.

Of course, this means cutting back on travel beauty products!  Here is the majority of what I'm taking excluding a few more boring essentials - toothbrush, deodrant etc.

All I am taking is my Liz Earle essentials in minature, Bare Minerals base products, concealer, mascara, eyeliner, lipliner, lipgloss, eyebrow pencil, suntan lotion, Elemis body wash and a few other bare neccessaties.  Not bad for a beauty blogger... Now I just hope I manage to pull of the minimalist look!  At least we will be light and stress free :)

Anybody have any recommendations of things to shop for and different places to visit in Paris?

My First Blog Giveaway Win!

Yay!  I finally won a blog giveaway and this particular one was from the lovely Been There, Done That, Got the Lipstick - thank you hun! :)  It was a nice surprise as right now my beauty budget appears to be going on all things baby related which is equally lovely but means I have less to blog about!  Here are my goodies:

Ghost Deep Night I used to wear this perfume whilst I was at college! It's nice to go back to an old favourite.

Cath Kidson Rose Hand Cream Love Cath Kidson's retro packaging and I always need a minature handcream on my desk at work.

Bed Head Sugar Dust I now have two of these which is handy because I can now be a bit more generous with it.

Hawaian Tropic Hydrating Sun Lotion I love Hawaian Tropic sun products because of their coconut scent.  This particular one is factor 15 and the perfect travel size for my Paris break next week! :D

Lierac Moisturiser A girl can never have too many moisturisers to try!

Yankee Candle Juicy Peach Wax Tart I love Yankee Candles and wax tarts are probably my favourite in the range as the scent really fills a room.

Duwop Lip Venom in Buttercup This is the first time I have tried Lip Venom and I love it!  It tingles and plumps your lips and has a gorgeous tropical cocktail scent.

Rimmel Lip Liner in Tiramasu I don't usually wear lipliner as I have struggled to find one shade that suits all - this however looks like a great natural lip shade.

Real Techniques Make-Up Brushes You can never have too many make up brushes!  And I've heard great things about Real Techniques so can't wait to try these.

Also included was a selection of samples to add to my sample box :)  Thanks again to Been There, Done That, Got the Lipstick for the fab giveaway!

Nail of the Day

In this scorching weather my tootsies are out!  And I NEVER leave them unpainted (though the bump may stop me at some point!)

I usually stick to pinks and reds on my toenails but today I've gone for the gorgeous Leighton Denny Notorious.  Its a vivid turquoise - one of my favourite colours to wear in the summer.

And for those of you interested, my flip flops are by Miss KG :)  Hope you're all enjoying the sun and not having to stay out of it like me!

July's Basic Beauty Empties

Feeling very guilty about not posting in ages!  However, saving for baby has meant I really haven't been investing in beauty that much this month.  Instead, most of my 'empties' for July were tried and tested bargain beauty basics that I thought I'd share with you.  Not very glamourous but essentials :)

VO5 Heat Protect I just can't let go of straightening my hair!  Not one to go au-naturel with my waves that often I always use a heat protection spray.  This one smells gorgeous, doesn't leave a residue and is around £3.50 but I keep finding it on offer in either Boots or Superdrug.

Vaseline Essential Moisture  My partner stocked up on this for me when I was having random itchy skin in the winter.  It's very light and soothing so perfect for sensitive skins!  Not particularly moisturising but I find it keeps skin 'healthy' feeling.

Nivea Pearl Beauty Deodrant I come back to this deodrant everytime.  Love the smell, does its job and doesn't irritate my skin.  Always on offer too!

L'Occitane Immortelle Moisture Mask Sample  Reviewed this here - I did not get on with this product at all :(
